  • About Me

One of my favorite pastimes as a kid was going through old albums and reliving those great moments in life. I guess that's what eventually brought me to this place of being a photographer. It's as if I am constantly in a state of nostalgia, relishing in the memories being created.

I believe we are all designed for relationships, we flourish with them and we suffer without. I am so fortunate to have a job that allows me not only to form new friendships, but also capture the growth, development, and sometimes culmination of some of the most important relationships around.

Whether it is from behind my camera or over a cup of coffee, I would love to get to know you and your story. Contact me to schedule a meeting!

    Blessings,

Ethan Hunt Turns #1!

I am stoked to report that I have yet another amazing set of pictures to share of one of the cutest kids ever…Mr. Ethan Hunt.  You probably saw him not long ago featured with his two very stylish parents, Brandon and Katie, on “Inspired by This“.  Now he is back for a super fun shoot of him enjoying his very first experience with cake!  As you will see, we may have a future vegan chef on our hands as he reaches for an apple during the shoot instead of the delicious vanilla/coconut cake sitting at his feet…

Enjoy!!

Saltan Sea

So, I’ve actually published these pictures before, but prior to starting to use VSCO film.  Therefore, I wanted to do them artistic justice by re-editing them and showing them off in a more appropriate forum.

If you haven’t been to the Saltan Sea, Salvation Mountain, or Slab City…you really need to put it on your To-Visit list.  It’s the most fascinating place in California and especially more so if you get to meet Leonard Knight, the founder and creator of Salvation Mountain.  My buddy, Eric, and I had the pleasure of getting a private tour from him of his amazing creation comprising mostly of tractor tires, adobe, and millions of gallons of paint.  It took him a mere 30 years to complete, so you can imagine the pride that went into this labor of love…all in the name of telling people about the love of God!

I can respect that!

Peter Deltondo - Killer shots Steve!

Jaden Matthew Turns 7!

I love my nephews and nieces and am sooooo honored to be their uncle!  They are incredible and my brother and sister have done incredible jobs raising them!  On Sunday, we got to celebrate my super cool nephew, Jaden (my sister’s oldest) and his 7th birthday.  They held his party at the raddest venue ever, Skyhigh in Costa Mesa!  Although I didn’t partake in the trampoline-a-palooza, I have in the past that that place is hardly just for kids.  I decided instead to bring my camera and shoot a little of the awesomeness!

My gorgeous niece Shaylen!!
My other niece Morgan showing off her mad back flipping skills…
My brother knows how to get some serious air!

Graduation Portraits: Celia & Lovrina

Celia and her friend Lovrina contacted me last week about setting up a day to get some portraits of them taken…you see, they are graduating next month from Cal State Fullerton and wanted to increase their chances of getting more money from family and friends by including some killer new headshots of themselves in their graduation announcements.  Ok, maybe that is speculation on my part as to their motives, but I think they at least got the killer headshots out of it!

Hein Family

Just a sampling of some images of one of my favorite families of all times.  I met the Hein family over a year ago and have been blessed to document a few family photo sessions since.  They are so much fun and so full of life, and this time I was privileged to meet Kim’s side of the family.  Enjoy!
