  • About Me

    One of my favorite pastimes as a kid was going through old albums and reliving those great moments in life. I guess that's what eventually brought me to this place of being a photographer. It's as if I am constantly in a state of nostalgia, relishing in the memories being created.

    I believe we are all designed for relationships, we flourish with them and we suffer without. I am so fortunate to have a job that allows me not only to form new friendships, but also capture the growth, development, and sometimes culmination of some of the most important relationships around.

Josh & Ange: Married

MOST…AWESOME…WEDDING…EVER!!  I’m not sure I can decide if it was the epic sunrise first look, the family band (mandolin, fiddle, and accordion included), the welcome music of revamped sitcom theme songs, or the never-ending cereal bar…they all stack up as amazing!  In addition to all that, there were so many incredible DIY details which of course made it a photographer’s dream to shoot.  Did I mention that Josh & Ange pulled off this incredible wedding for under $4,000??!!  Yep, another ridiculously cool aspect to this rad day.

All that stuff aside, the day was centered around worshipping the God that brought these two amazing people together.  It was so inspiring to see what a gentle, authentic, and deep-seated love these two have for each other.  Having spent the majority of their dating relationship with Ange in Seattle and Josh in Orange County, they learned the value of consistent communication and a true appreciation for the time that they got to spend together in person.  It was a day filled with lots of love…

The Benson Family ’12

One of my greatest joys in life is my family.  I’m blessed to have two awesome older siblings that I am very close with, and they married awesome spouses which gives me another brother and sister to enjoy spending time with.  The other huge plus is my nephews and nieces who are out-of-this-world awesome!  My sister, Tiffany, and her beautiful family have been such great supporters of my photography, and thus recipients of regular photo shoots throughout the year.  This time, we found some incredible late afternoon light, amazing clouds, and mucky marshes to walk around in.  The result was total stokage!

The Hunt Family

Not sure it’s really necessary to mention how beautiful this family is, it’s kinda obvious.  And I’m sure you also recognize them from a couple other shoots of have done of Brandon & Katie and their son Ethan in the past, I’m very blessed to say I have sorta become their family photographer!  Katie mentioned to me she wanted to do our shoot in a Christmas tree lot, which was genius.  Then, when we arrived, we found this amazing firewood lot as well which really added some wowza backdrops.  Enjoy!

The Larson Family

So, here’s the background…Dave is my sister-in-laws brother and a super cool dude.  He married Jeanne, a super cool chick, and they made two super cool kids, Simon and Ben.  I like using the phrase ‘super cool’ because there are so many other words and phrases to describe them that this phrase is the easiest to pick from.  Dave and Jeanne just have a way about them that exudes grace, joy, peace, and genuine compassion for others.  I’m so excited to see how their two boys continue to grow as an extension of them and I am equally excited they asked me to take their pictures.

Nick & Lauren: Engaged

He’s an Orange County Sheriff, she’s a nurse, they are an awesome couple!!  I was so stoked that a friend of mine referred Nick and Lauren to me to shoot their wedding in February.  Not only are they a very attractive couple (as you will see from their engagement pics), but they have a very genuine, gentle and fun relationship.  Our engagement shoot consisted of walking around Crystal Cove State Beach along with their beautiful german shepherd puppy, Lucy, and grabbing some very fun photos that show just how special the love is between these two.

Nick & Lauren, I am so stoked to have your wedding to look forward to, thanks for making my job so easy!
